The Department of Urban Development cooperated with two map publishing companies recently . They have published two atlases and a series of 12 districts’ wall charts dated from October 2004 to March 2005 in Chinese. In addition to traditional vector maps, they especially represent colorful aerial images taken in 2002 that you can have clearer view of the buildings, roads, rivers, mountains and various green spaces, etc. By comparing traditional two dimensional maps, you can obtain more geographic information from the aerial images.
