For the ninth year, Taipei City Government is encouraging projects that promote urban renewal and improvement by publicly recognizing the construction of buildings that coordinate environmental concerns with innovative ideas. Selected applicants for this year will be recognized in order to raise public appreciation of the buildings’ exteriors and the quality of environment to serve as inspiration to make improvements to their own environment through renovation and regular maintenance.
There are two other special arrangements for the event this year. In order to raise awareness of the living environment, the city government will call for ten properties for selected architects and designers to renovate. Besides, three forums will be held to discuss the urban context. Taipei City Government hopes to attract more citizens to become concerned about our living environment through these activities.
The closing date for applications is 15 September, 2010.
