The 2012 Youth Family Program begins and accepts application from July 16th 2012 to August 24th 2012
Department of Urban Development, Taipei City Government coordinates with the Ministry of the Interior on the 2012 Youth Family Program. Application begins from July 16th 2012 to August 24th 2012. TCG expects to have 2,287 households for rent subsidy applications and 3,050 households for home loan interest subsidy applications. Citizens in the need for subsidy are welcome to submit applications. Those who wish to submit applications can get the application form and information from the Department of Urban Development and the local district offices or download them from the Department of Urban Development website at http://www.udd.taipei.gov.tw, the housing service platform website at http://www.housing.taipei.gov.tw and the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of Interior website at http://www.cpami.gov.tw during the application period between July 16th 2012 and August 24th 2012.
2012 will mark the 4th year of the Youth Family Program. The program targets newlyweds between the age of 20 to 40 and the youth family with newborn children. Subsidy categories include buying and renting for newlyweds and those with children. Applicants’ age can be extended to age 45 for those who are trading houses while raising children. The 20 years home loan will be interest free loan for the first two years with a maximum loan of $2,000,000 NTD. Subsidy for rental is $4,000 NTD a month with a period of 2 year (approved by Executive Yuan on June 18th). However, those with special circumstances like being in marriage for over 2 years, over 41 years old (over 46 years old for those with children), or purchased a house for over 2 years or between March 1st 2012 and July 16th 2012 are still able to apply for subsidy.
Department of Urban Development states that Mayor Hau has announced the rent subsidy increase program “Forster Children with Convenient Renting” on July 26th. The program increases the subsidy of Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of Interior in 2012 from $4,000 to $5,000 a month. For those raising 3 or more children, there will be an extra subsidy ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 a month.
Department of Urban Development reminds that one cannot apply for more than one subsidy. Citizens are asked to choose only one to apply according to their needs.
