URS44 Dadaocheng Story Workshop organized the "Old City Rooftops; Green Vegetable Garden" exhibition which will open on December 16th. The agency invites residents to experience City’s agriculture and strengthen their awareness on our environment
"Old City Rooftops; Green Vegetable Garden" is located at Urban Regeneration Station No. 44 (URS 44). The architects remodeled the rooftops, changing the facility into little green vegetable gardens. This transforms the ordinary rooftop space in Dihua Street District into different uses and styles, inviting the residents to join in on the unique experience.
Taipei City Urban Regeneration Office has been promoting and subsidizing Taiwan Farmers' Association with its "Dadaocheng Cuisine- Dihua Street District Food and Agricultural Plan." It has been showcasing a series of food and agricultural events at URS 44. This time around, by exhibiting "Old City Rooftops; Green Vegetable Garden," the agency hopes to encourage people to reflect upon the relationship as well as the creative development possibilities between agriculture and urban planning.
This exhibition will take place from 12/16/2013 (Monday) to 3/14/2014 (Friday). Opening hours: Monday- Friday 11AM-5PM. Location: URS 44 (Dihua Street 1st Section No. 44)
Guided tours are available every Wednesday at 2PM. We welcome visitors to make reservations before their visit. For more information please go on Taipei Village website, http://www.urstaipei.net/, or please call Mr. Lee, program director at 0912669921
