Enrollment for the 2014 Urban Regeneration Street Image Recording Training Course Begins
Taipei City Government has been guiding community residents to discover local specialties and stories by promoting story image telling. Entering the seventh year of promotion, the program has now trained hundreds of students producing around 71 films, recording touching stories from various corners in Taipei City. The 2014 Image Recording Training Course will adopt “Taipei, Smiling Communities” as its theme, calling all residents who are passionate about communities, City, culture and space, to discover, create and expand on local experiences and life stories. This will allow “image recording” and “community empowerment” to be a simple and pleasurable thing. As the photographers become the participants, the sense of accomplishment will develop a continued momentum, creating smiling communities.
The training course this year will last five months. The course has comprehensive and rich content, from writing project proposals, conducting field research, outlining scripts, and practicing shooting to finishing post-production editing. With the help of a shooting team consisting of professional documentary filmmakers and community creative proposal assistants, students will create a new understanding of our own communities through refreshed observation and interpretation. We welcome all residents who are interested in Taipei City community issues, cultural history and natural environment to enroll.
Enrollment will take place from April 19th to May 20th. Any interested individuals or groups should sign up for the course to share their image recording, urban regeneration actions and community empowerment plans.
