The public rental housing in Qingnian area has completed its preliminary planning stage, please support to promote the construction
In order to alleviate the burden of public living in Taipei, Taipei City has actively promoted plans for public rental housing, and for the bases (Ankang area, Baoqing area and Qingnian area) are currently undergoing construction. Public rental housing in Qingnian area is located in the intersection of Qingnian Road and Shuiyuan Road of Wanhua District, and its area is 4,801 square feet. Department of Urban Development, Taipei Government has held many regional seminars and done first opinion poll to strengthen communication with local residents, so that local residents can understand the meaning of public rental housing, and be able to obtain the consents from local residents. This case has completed its preliminary planning stage, and is in the progress of completing a second opinion poll. Detailed design and construction contracting operations will be carried out once the case has granted the public’s majority support.
The number of household is set to 277 in the current preliminary planning stage, where there are 190 single rooms, 64 double rooms and 23 triple rooms. Bio-architecture formosana, the architect team responsible for planning, has designed the building base on various considerations, which not only includes the base of urban texture, traffic condition and climate condition, but also the concept of green building, smart buildings and community cohesion. This public rental housing is targeted to people between age of 20 to 45 domiciled in Taipei. It’s planned to commence construction in 2013 and publics can start to apply for admission in 2016.
Department of Urban Development, Taipei Government will still aim for high quality and high standard while it’s processing the case of public rental housing, and it will continue the success experience of Dalongdong public housing, to show a brand new image of public housing and meet the housing needs of the people of Taipei City.
