Taipei City will start accepting applications for subsidy on elevator addition for old buildings with up to $3 million NTD on February 15, 2016.
To assist improving the needs of senior citizens and citizens with limited mobility, Taipei City Urban Regeneration Office continues the subsidy on elevator addition for old buildings standard procedure, which was initiated in 2015. Building, less than 6 story in height and older than 20 years, are qualified for subsidy application from February 15th, 2016 to December 30th, 2016.Application can be submitted as long as the building has received the elevator construction license from the Taipei City Construction Management Office, and also with the property owner’s fully permission. For each case, the subsidy includes both design and construction fee with a maximum of $2 million NTD. The maximum can be raised to $3 million NTD if the specification of the elevator matches with the cities regulation of universal design.
