“Living Justice in Progress - 2016 Taipei Public Housing Exhibition” welcomes citizens’ participation

The Department of Urban Development’s “Living Justice in Progress- 2016 Taipei Public Housing Exhibition” is open from December 19th 2015 to March 6th 2016 on Xue Xue Institutes’ 5th floor at No.207, Sec. 2, Tiding Blvd., Neihu Dist., Taipei City. For the 2 months long exhibition, the department has prepared 2 mini trips, 4 discussion sessions, and 4 lectures to experience the residence life under public circumstance and perceive the genius loci. It pictures Taipei City’s future development outline with the citizens by retrospecting the public housing development path, and opens up the citizens’ mind towards future residencies with public interaction experiences.
The department will host series of discussion sessions and lectures along with the exhibition. The first lecture “decode the myth box: property ownership is not just a dream.” will be on Sunday, December 27th 2015 at 1:30pm. It invites Professor Ching-Chun Hua from Takming University of Science and Technology, Deputy Commissioner Shi-Ming You from Department of Finance, Taipei City Government, and Division Chief Se-Fang Chien from the Housing Planning Division, Department of Urban Development, Taipei City Government to discuss how the price of real estates become burdensome for the younger generations. Welcome all interested citizens to participate. Following that, the Department will host another three discussion sessions and lectures: “Aiming at Taipei’s Housing Design and Concepts” on January 17th~18th, 2016, “Taipei’s Public Housing –General Plan Assisted by Regeneration Method ” on February 20th~21th, 2016, and “Introducing Seoul Public Housing, Discussing Urban Regeneration and Public Constructions” on March 5th~6th, 2016. In addition to that, the department also plans two mini trips, welcoming citizens to explore the Northern Tatong district and Wanghua district together.
